Legislative Information

SDCA provides a voice for South Dakota cattlemen on all public policy issues in front of congress, the state legislature and government agencies.  SDCA staff and leadership represent the interests of SDCA members and testify based on member directed-policy.
 
SDCA leadership and staff regularly testify before the state legislature to ensure the interests of South Dakota beef producers are heard and acted upon.  SDCA's full-time lobbyist, aided by the SDCA Executive Director work with legislators and state agency staff to protect and promote the beef industry. 

During the legislative session, SDCA members can check their weekly e-newsletter and Legislative Blog for updates on current legislation, a bill's progress and SDCA's position on  bills and their potential impact on South Dakota beef producers.
