70th Annual SDCA Convention & Trade Show

Involved in the beef business in South Dakota?  Then you won’t want to miss SDCA’s 70th Annual Convention and Trade Show scheduled for November 27-29 in Huron.  Our expert speakers will address issues from sustainability to the markets and our top-notch trade show brings together all the suppliers and partners you need for your cattle enterprise.

Cattlemen and women will work on issues important to our business when the committees meet to work on policy.  Members will complete the work of the association at the Annual Membership meeting where we will set SDCA’s policy priorities and elect leaders for 2019 and beyond.  We’ll have plenty of time to network and have fun too!

Cattlemen working for Cattlemen

SDCA provides a voice for South Dakota cattlemen on all public policy issues in front of congress, the state legislature and government agencies. SDCA staff and leadership represent the interests of SDCA members and testify based on member directed-policy.

SDCA leadership and staff regularly testify before the state legislature to ensure the interests of South Dakota beef producers are heard and acted upon. SDCA's full-time lobbyist, aided by the SDCA Executive Director work with legislators and state agency staff to protect and promote the beef industry.

During the legislative session, SDCA members can check their weekly e-newsletter for updates on current legislation, a bill's progress and SDCA's position on bills and their potential impact on South Dakota beef producers.
